Why is it that writing/blogging has lately become a lazy thing for me to do? If I do get ideas or suddenly saw or felt something I’d like to blog about, I’d just let the feeling pass me over… I should get over this lethargic phase soon… And not just blogging, but everything…
Great thing sembreak is here. Will finally have some time to get my bearings. The last five months have been crazy, crazy, crazy. Really. And it will all start all over again in acouple of weeks.
Need some time off. And this coming trip up north dropped in just right. Mix work and more work. And maybe a little play =) Change of scenery at least. Downside is I’m going to miss a couple of family events where I really should be here at home. I’m just thinking, they’ll understand… Besides, heart and mind is where they already are. Always.
And so finally… since I handed my grade sheets earlier, my first semester is officially O-V-E-R.

This is great. After a night of drinking 3 wineglasses of sangria, a couple or so shots of lemondrops and an unaccounted number of tall glasses of coke-bacardi, I wake up with no hangover whatsoever. Really. Not even a headache! Just hungry though. Again.
I’ve been eating nonstop Yvonne’s sumptuous dishes the minute we got to her place at 5pm and started our spree. That really is one way of controlling, or complementing the alcohol intake. Just eat and eat and eat. Walk around if you feel kinda dizzy and full too. And do magic sing to your heart’s content. hehehe…
FOOD:
Shrimps, garlic and cheese lumpia
Baked fetuccinne in white sauce with mushroom and ham
Maian’s fish fillet with a very delicious sauce
Toasted french bread with pesto sauce
Smoked ham, straight from Spain :p
Lemon squares for dessert
BEVERAGE:
1 1/2 bottles homegrown Tanduay
2 pitchers of refreshing Sangria
1/2 bottle Absolut Citron
1 1/2 bottle Curacao Triplesec
2 bottles island lemon lime
1 bottle Bacardi
Coke light and regular, numerous
Eat, mix and drink everything up. And you have Trina, Krissy, Ali, Teng, Leah, Maian, Yvonne chatting, singing and shouting like there’s no tomorrow! Me, I was just by the sides. Watching coolly and nodding occassionally. NOT. *grin*
That fun fun getogether ended around 3am, with an invite from Yvonne for her daughter’s birthday party the next weekend. But since I don’t have a kid, I’m not THAT invited. But we singles and childless, resolved to produce one by that time, preferrably blond and blue-eyed.
Hmmmm…
And, was supposed to leave for Talicud Island earlier, 6:30am to be exact. But since, for the life of me, I could not wake up, I missed my twin pamangkins birthday beach bash. Too bad. Guess I’ll really be stuck doing schoolwork this fine Sunday.
