What is the secret to HAPPINESS?
i found the answer in my home.
the wall says BE STRONG
the ceiling says AIM HIGH
the door says BE OPEN
the window says to LEARN TO GIVE & TAKE
the clock says TIME IS GOLD
the calendar says LOVE EVERYDAY AS IF ITS THE LAST DAY
the cabinet says KEEP THINGS IN ORDER
the bed says TAKE TIME TO RELAX
the lamp says BE THE LIGHT
and God who is found everywhere in my house says KEEP THE FAITH BECAUSE I AM WITH YOU.
** simple enough words and thoughts but i realize its still a tall order. heres to taking things one, well-intentioned step at a time in the coming new year. have a great one you guys, CHEERS!

assume FORMLESSNESS.
by taking a shape, by having a visible plan, you open yourself to attack
instead of taking a form for your enemy to grasp, keep yourself adaptable and on the move
accept the fact that nothing is certain and no law is fixed
the best way to protect yourself is to be as fluid and formless as WATER
never bet on stability or lasting order
EVERYTHING CHANGES…

usually never give pussycat dolls much attention. but this one is quite catchy and if youre in THAT place, very apt =)
We’re driving slow through the snow on Fifth Avenue
And right now radio’s all that we can hear
Now we ain’t talked since we left, it’s so overdue
It’s cold outside but between us it’s worse in here
The world slows down
But my heart beats fast right now
I know this is the part
Where the end starts
I can’t take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don’t wanna try now
All that’s left’s goodbye
To find a way that I can tell you
I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can’t take your tears
I hate this part right here
Everyday, seven takes of the same old scene
Seems we’re bound by the laws of the same routine
Gotta talk to you now ‘fore we go to sleep
But will we sleep once I tell you it’s hurting me
The world slows down
But my heart beats fast right now
I know this is the part
Where the end starts
I can’t take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don’t wanna try now
All that’s left’s goodbye
To find a way that I can tell you
I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can’t take your tears
I hate this part right here
I know you’ll ask me to hold on
And carry on like nothing’s wrong
But there is no more time for lies
‘Cause I see sunset in your eyes
I can’t take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don’t wanna try now
All that’s left’s goodbye
To find a way that I can tell you
That I gotta do it,
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it
I hate this part
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it
I hate this part right here
And I just can’t take these tears
I hate this part right here

someonewho knows me for some time might be a bit surprised with my song preferences nowadays. before, my phone was crammed with all the rock and alternative heavies and lights. but ever since i got a proper mp3 player, i cleaned up my phone memory and now enjoy an extensive playlist of varying musical genres still to fill my 16gb player. now that phone is thankfully a little free, ive been filling it up again . with a “faves” playlist that you wouldnt hear me playing maybe a couple of years ago (except maybe for pink =)…. namely:
closer ne-yo
moving mountains usher
so what pink
bleeding love leona lewis
hate that i love you rihanna feat ne-yo
no air jordin sparks feat chris brown
always be my baby david cook
i dont want to miss a thing david cook
dance like there’s no tomorrow paula abdul??
miss independent ne-yo
if i were a boy beyonce
i still shuffle my old favorites, but R&B mixed with hiphop and ballads are thrown in as well…. definitely says a lot, me thinks. of what exactly, im not sure as well. growing old? feeling young? going with the changing times? certainly some blurring of the lines there… =)
